Bobby brings joyful art experiences to our children. His open-ended projects involve lots of recycled materials allowing children plenty of time to explore, investigate and create. Each time Bobby comes, he offers new and interesting materials. Bobby provides a relaxed environment and encourages children to express their feelings in their art. As children experiment and create, they are planning, predicting and problem solving as well as utilizing their small and gross motor muscles.
Bobby was educated at Umass Amherst, with graduate courses at Wheelock and Lesley Colleges. He taught pre-school and elementary school for 20 years. For much of the last 14 years, he has been involved with the operation of the Recycle Center, a resource center for teachers, with a focus on professional development training workshops.
Bobby recently had a solo exhibit, Listening to Trees, hanging at the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center. His exhibit included masks, assemblages, collages and stamp-printed hangings. He is also a member of NoCa (North Cambridge All Arts Organization).
